About this opportunity:
Cenovus is currently looking for a Commercial Operations Specialist based at our Lloydminster office.
This role will collaborate on business growth opportunities and system optimizations, working closely with internal partners including Commercial Development, Operations, Control Center Maintenance, Major project group, and Lloyd Engineering. The individual will identify potential operational impacts of opportunities and provide support as needed, as well as contribute operational input to new project economic evaluations.

What you’ll do:
Provide support to commercial growth within Husky Midstream
Collaborate with Commercial Development and Operations teams to ensure development projects are fit for purpose, and resourced correctly to adhere to HMGP values and standard processes
Support early phases of Midstream projects, review key engineering documents (PFD, P&ID's, Process data sheets, plot plans and control narratives)
Contribute to and participates in the development of business strategy plans, support the development of facility and system key performance indicators
Support and advise on business development and growth opportunities, provide information and compile economic evaluations
Support commercial and operational agreement drafts and revisions
Advise Operations leadership and key collaborators of initiatives and changes driven by the commercial development team
Provide support and input to area wide or complex engineering investigations and initiatives relating to system performance and quality assurance activities
Communicate and roll out contract updates to affected operational stakeholders
Drive innovation initiatives for system wide applications
Support throughput optimizations and product quality initiatives through the system and facilities
Support economic evaluations by identifying operational constraints, risks, and optimization opportunities
Coordinate between operations, customer service and commercial development teams to support nominations, system outages and third-party requirements
Support the tracking, analyzing and reporting on asset performance (Uptime, throughput, OPEX trending)
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Minimum high school diploma
Minimum 12 years’ experience in midstream, upstream, downstream or related operations experience. Midstream experience is considered an asset.
Experience in risk management principals relating to the business
We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.
For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
