About the Team & Business Line:

Fund Administration is Citco’s core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry’s most respected. Our continuous investment in learning and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver a seamless client experience.

Responsibilities

Your Role: 

  • Complete daily voluntary corporate actions processing for an assigned set of clients
  • Review street cash and position reconciliations and independently comment on or resolve mandatory/voluntary corporate actions related break resolution
  • Focus on using proper accounting treatment and PandL realization in line with Citco’s best practice
  • Process complex reorganizations, position transfers or other internal events within our accounting system based on provided client instructions
  • Review the work of others to ensure high levels of quality across client deliverables and processing errors are kept at manageable levels
  • Manage and resolve corporation action related queries and requests sent by clients and internal Citco staff
  • Assist with training junior staff and proactively comment on their development to team leaders and manager
  • Suggest and contribute towards CA departmental projects and initiatives on an ongoing basis

Qualifications

About You:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Fund Administration or Brokerage Operations with a strong understanding of both corporate actions and break resolution
  • In depth instrument knowledge of equities, equity swaps and corporate bonds; understanding of additional instrument types of an asset, but not required
  • Strong understanding of basic finance accounting concepts such as cost basis, market value, profit and loss, and lot relief methodologies (FIFO, LIFO, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently as part of a team; offering assistance where possible and leveraging colleagues when necessary
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or Markit EDM
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and in person
  • Ability to demonstrate problem solving abilities through their past experience a plus
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge preferred
