Role:
Works directly with the Mortgage Loan Originator to create an exceptional experience for every mortgage member during the loan process through to the funding of their loan. Provides proactive communication and progress reports to all involved parties. Provides loan coordination and document collection in an effective, member-focused manner.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
45% Reviews and processes real estate loan files to verify that application data is complete and meets credit union and secondary market standards. Maintains real estate loan processing files, sends document verifications as necessary, updates loan origination software with loan information, prepares and bundles real estate loans for underwriting submission, and contacts members for any loan documentation necessary to fulfill underwriting conditions. Works on loan files varying in complexity under the guidance of an experienced team member.
40% Ensures workflow efficiency along with the assigned Mortgage Loan Originator while maintaining an exceptional loan experience for the member. Reviews assigned production reports to monitor file activity in a timely manner. Ensure commitment dates are met in accordance with service level agreements (SLA) set for the department.
5% Stays current and compliant with applicable regulations and Rogue Credit Union policies and guidelines. Learns and utilizes various in-house technical systems and programs to provide optimal support to assigned Mortgage Loan Originator.
5% Serves as the face of the credit union, builds rapport and ensures a pleasant experience which creates Loyal Member relationships. Stays up to date on Rogue Credit Union's products and services.
5% Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education: A high school education or GED. Some college experience is preferred relating to business communication. Licensed through NMLS while maintaining annual required training.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Rapport building skills and able to solicit cooperation. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong computer skills including mortgage software, spreadsheets, and word processing software. Strong time management and organizational skills. Skilled with telephones and office equipment. Eye for detail and quality.
Physical Requirements: Some adjusting or moving objects up to 30 pounds in all directions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers while using computer. Communicating with others to exchange information. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discernments in sound. Close and continuous visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
Work Environment: Normal workday with occasional overtime. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery.
