We are looking for an Inventory Control Manager to be based at our Dayton, NJ reporting to the General Manager. The salary is $ $75,000 - $85,000

Job Summary

The Inventory Manager will oversee inventory accuracy by managing daily cycle count and inventory reconciliation. This position will also work to improve and or establish the end-to-end inventory management processes including transactional accountability, inventory counts, and discrepancy investigations. This manager will work with various departments to drive development of cycle count programs and manage performance. 

Job Duties:

•Coordinate and manage daily physical cycle counts. 

• Collaborate with warehouse management to drive best practices in terms of receiving, shipping, and inventory management that support the achievement of inventory accuracy goals. 

• Research transaction history to determine source of any inventory variances or location transfer errors. 

• Participate in setting up materials planning data and required information for new products. 

• Report on monthly inventory KPI’s. 

• Audit inventory transactions for accuracy and timeliness, ensuring a high level of inventory accuracy is maintained. 

• Facilitate formal problem solving, root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective actions for all inventory discrepancies or related process failures. 

• Responsible for overall inventory control and storage of materials, including reconciliation with data systems. 

• Work collaboratively with multiple business functions in a team environment. 

• Capable of making recommendations and improvements to improve process effectiveness and efficiency. 

• Hire, manage and develop a team. 

• Establish career development, goals and objectives, and conduct annual reviews. 


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Inventory Control 
  • Inventory Management
  • Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, Human Resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods and coordination of people and resources


Skill In:

  • Training and ensuring all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company government and customer policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate and not interrupting at inappropriate
  • Analytical tools including Microsoft Excel and statistical software
  • Business judgment, written and oral communication and a practical, common sense approach to getting things completed
  • Complex, high-volume multi-site fulfillment environment
  • Working with ERP software and Agile PLM software
  • Product life cycle management

Selective Preference:

The Ideal Candidate will have:

5+ years of management experience in materials/warehouse operations; a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, materials management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience; APICS or related certification and experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
