Responsibilities:

The State Services Coordinator in Georgia provides operational oversight to assigned behavioral health programs and ensures services are delivered in alignment with contract requirements, organizational policies, and regulatory standards. This role oversees program-level operations, monitors service quality, and manages the administrative components of independent contractor agreements. While the State Services Coordinator does not supervise contractors, they are responsible for ensuring that services provided under contract meet outlined expectations and compliance requirements. The role serves as a key liaison between contractors, internal departments, and program leadership to promote consistent, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight of day-to-day operations of the program, ensuring compliance with clinical, billing, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor service delivery trends and documentation quality to ensure alignment with contract requirements and organizational expectations.
  • Manage the administrative oversight of independent contractor agreements, including ensuring services are delivered in accordance with contract terms.
  • Coordinate resolution of operational issues such as service authorization delays, documentation concerns, or billing barriers through collaboration with internal teams.
  • Respond to service-level disruptions or client crises by ensuring appropriate program-level follow-up and coordination.
  • Compile program data, audit results, and performance summaries; submit reports and updates to program and organizational leadership.
  • Identify program-wide process gaps or barriers to effective service delivery and propose systemic solutions.
  • Serve as a liaison between contractors and internal departments (e.g., billing, compliance, quality assurance), ensuring information flow and alignment.
  • Participate in internal meetings and quality improvement initiatives to support the overall effectiveness of the program.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of one year of leadership experience in the mental health, human services, or social services field is preferred.
