Position Overview: The Pallet Yard Technician is responsible for ensuring the pallet yard and recycling programs are complying, ensuring the area is maintained in a neat, clean manner, as well as loading and offloading shipments.

Language Skills: English proficiency required.  Spanish is a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Amount of Travel Involved: None.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
• Properly document and load Recycling Trailers and Flatbed Trucks.
• Operation of Forklift, certification required. 
• Properly document and unload inbound loads.
• Daily operation of Trash Compactor, Drum Dumper and Baler. Properly document product location movements.
• Cleaning of recycling equipment. 
• Maintain proper GMP conditions in Recycling and Yard areas, including loading docks and warehouses.
• Notify Pallet Yard Supervisor of any discrepancies on incoming loads.
• Pallet ordering and pick up.
• Visually inspects pallet deliveries for damage, defects, and overall quality.
• Maintain roll off and dunnage trailer exchanges.
• Scheduling of drum and compactor pickups.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.
• Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Regular and punctual attendance.

Experience for Success:  

• Average math skills and basic computer skills.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. 
• Three months related experience. 
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Warehouse experience in the Beverage industry preferred.
