Greater Omaha has been in the Beef business since 1920. Today, we ship Beef to every U.S. state and over 70 countries around the globe.

We are seeking multiple interns this year for different functions. Our Internship Program is designed to help us build a talent pipeline of college students looking to get into our industry and become our future leaders. We are looking for a dynamic energetic intern who is eager to learn about our company by assisting various departments of:

Quality Assurance

Sales

Information Technology

Continuous Improvement

Cattle Procurement

Internship Dates: Full Time for approximately 12 weeks (May-August)

Location: 3001 L Street Omaha, Nebraska, 68107

Program Structure:

The three-month internship program focuses on providing you with an exciting, challenging, hands-on work experience in our organization in different areas of the facility during the program. This program will allow you to learn everything we do and work on a meaningful project. You will have a mentor assigned to you to help you with all your needs to ensure that you have the best experience. The first three weeks rotation provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the multiple areas of the facility providing an in-depth understanding of how pieces of our business work together.

  • Rotate in different areas and departments in the first three weeks.
  • Learn different processes and duties.
  • Perform multiple projects at once.
  • Gather and analyze data about your specific project.
  • Work closely with all levels of team members and leaders.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of events.
  • Other duties and projects as needed.

Work Environment: 

  • The work environment is a combination of corporate and manufacturing. While performing this job's duties, the employee is occasionally exposed to cold and humid conditions. In addition, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts. As a result, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, cold temperatures, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.  The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
