Vendor Certification Coordinator

Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and oversees the vendor credentialing program.
- Serves as point of contact for vendors to become certified. Communicates program requirements to vendors.
- Communicates certification requirements and monitors vendor activities including registration, analysis and reporting.
- Oversees registration process and collaborates with Supply Chain, Human Resources and compliance departments.
- Handles certification renewal processes.
- Maintains statistics on compliant and non-compliant vendors and communicates as required.
- Prepares and maintains statistical reports for certification activities.
- Disseminates lists of certified vendors to procedural areas and others as necessary.
- Serves as a point of contact for all vendors seeking to work with Mount Sinai medical center.
- Establishes, implements and develops certification procedures for vendors and sales reps.
- Maintains files for certified vendors and representatives.
- Performs periodic audits on vendors and sales reps.
- Validates OIG compliance through use of vendor certification software.
- Interacts and communicates with clinical departments regarding individual vendor certification.
- Writes detailed reports of findings and recommendations.
- Validates and maintains files of FDA Registration Certifications for Vendors who provide Human Tissue to Mount Sinai Medical Center.
- Coordinates recall process and interacts with vendors and clinical staff to make sure recalled products are identified, reviewed, replaced and removed as necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required. Associate degree preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a health care setting performing similar duties is desired
