Position Responsibilities:

• Coordinates and oversees the vendor credentialing program.                                                    
• Serves as point of contact for vendors to become certified. Communicates program requirements to vendors.      
• Communicates certification requirements and monitors vendor activities including registration, analysis and reporting.      
• Oversees registration process and collaborates with Supply Chain, Human Resources and compliance departments.  
• Handles certification renewal processes.  
• Maintains statistics on compliant and non-compliant vendors and communicates as required.                      
• Prepares and maintains statistical reports for certification activities.                                           
• Disseminates lists of certified vendors to procedural areas and others as necessary.                                     
• Serves as a point of contact for all vendors seeking to work with Mount Sinai medical center.              
• Establishes, implements and develops certification procedures for vendors and sales reps.                       
• Maintains files for certified vendors and representatives.                                                             
• Performs periodic audits on vendors and sales reps.                                                                
• Validates OIG compliance through use of vendor certification software.                                           
• Interacts and communicates with clinical departments regarding individual vendor certification.
• Writes detailed reports of findings and recommendations.
• Validates and maintains files of FDA Registration Certifications for Vendors who provide Human Tissue to Mount Sinai Medical Center.
• Coordinates recall process and interacts with vendors and clinical staff to make sure recalled products are identified, reviewed, replaced and removed as necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma required. Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a health care setting performing similar duties is desired
