Murphy's Naturals is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. The Inventory Control Specialist will play a critical role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring efficient flow of materials in our manufacturing facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software/systems.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Coordinate with purchasing and production teams to ensure timely replenishment of materials and components.
- Analyze inventory levels and usage patterns to optimize inventory stocking levels and minimize carrying costs.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between inventory records and physical inventory counts.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures to minimize shrinkage, loss, and damages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline inventory management processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Generate reports and provide analysis on inventory performance, trends, and variances.
- Assist in the implementation of inventory management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in inventory control or materials management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, techniques, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software/systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
