Job Summary:
This position reports to the Operations Manager within the scope of the mission, guiding principles, values, ethics and strategic goals of Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa, Inc. This position is responsible for supervising daily warehouse operations with a strong emphasis on forklift. This role ensures safe, efficient, and accurate handling of inventory, including receiving, storage, staging, and shipping. The Foreperson provides leadership to warehouse staff, ensures compliance with safety and company standards, and supports operational goals through hands-on involvement.
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Operates forklifts and other powered equipment to safely move, load, unload and store materials.
- Assist with coordinating daily warehouse activities, including staff direction, assignments and workflow management.
- Provide training, guidance and certification oversight for forklift operators and warehouse employees.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, company safety policies and operational standards.
- Conduct and document daily equipment inspections; while assisting in overseeing routine maintenance schedules.
- Verify inbound and outbound shipments against purchase orders, invoices, or shipping documentation.
- Monitor a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
- Address performance concerns, attendance and adherence to company policies in coordination with management.
- Prepare and submit operational reports, shift logs and incident documentation as required.
- Ensures that equipment is in safe operating condition and that all safeguards are in place.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years warehouse experience, including at least 1 year of Fork truck operation.
- Valid forklift certification with demonstrated proficiency in operation.
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes, safety requirements and compliance standards.
- Effective communication, organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
- Loyalty to the agency and its mission and policies.
- Reliable transportation. Ability to work a flexible schedule at multiple locations including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to use good judgment, discretion, and initiative.
