The Nevada Supreme Court’s Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) is seeking a Procurement & Grants Officer to join our financial and administrative team.

This position offers the opportunity to shape and support programs that directly serve Nevada’s courts and communities. Under the general direction of the Chief Financial Officer and State Court Administrator, the Grants & Contracts Officer develops, implements, and monitors contracts on behalf of the AOC and the Supreme Court—including contracts finalized through the RFP and RFQ process—and performs the full range of duties related to the application for and administration of grants for the Judicial Branch.

In addition to managing the life cycle of grants and contracts, this role proactively tracks and monitors renewal deadlines for all contractual agreements, ensuring timely review, extensions, and re-solicitations so that services to the courts continue uninterrupted. You’ll collaborate closely with Accounting, outside legal counsel, program staff, and vendors to drive efficiency, compliance, and innovation across court operations.

Duties include: 

  • Lead the development and release of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other solicitations.
  • Assist RFP review committees with vendor selection evaluations and document discussions and decisions.
  • Draft and finalize contracts in partnership with applicable Court staff, Accounting, and outside legal counsel.
  • Engage vendors and manage ongoing contractor relationships.
  • Monitor contract expenditures, compliance, and renewal/termination deadlines.
  • Support biennial budget preparation for grants, leases, and contractual agreements.
  • Develop, implement, and assess grant-in-aid projects/programs; provide technical assistance to recipients.
  • Prepare and submit federal grant applications, including financial and statistical reporting.
  • Review audits, financial statements, and expenditure tracking to ensure grant compliance.

Qualifications: 

  • Experience in contract management, including developing, issuing, and managing RFPs/RFQs.
  • Grant administration expertise with a focus on compliance and fiscal oversight.
  • Budgeting or fiscal management experience and strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of contract law, grant regulations, and government or judicial processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field preferred.
  • Professional certifications in Contract or Grant Management are a plus.

Effectively works remotely and collaborates with employees from a remote location, as needed. Must have expertise in virtual meeting platforms, such as Teams. Must have the ability to work remotely via an internet network connection provided by the employee. This connection speed must be sufficient to perform all duties. A minimum of 50-100 mb download speeds are required. Higher connection speed may be required if sharing this connection with other members in an employee’s household.
