POSITION OVERVIEW
Project Managers in the IKE Construction department work with cities and our internal development managers to plan and execute deployment of IKE Smart City kiosks into public right-of-way locations across the US. They have a broad set of responsibilities focused on maintaining the project plan and budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Pre-Construction
- Support new market processes, communications, and documentation.
- Budget assistance for cost effective market deployment.
- Assists pre-construction team with planning, procurement, and forecasting.
- Helps identify, retain, and manage third-party contractors, including civil engineers and construction contractors.
Construction
- Maintain and update all market specific details across multiple project management platforms.
- Spearheads IKE deployment in assigned markets with attention to maintaining the schedule/budget to meet forecasted goals.
- Execute plan review processes with city typically in the right of way space.
- Minimize construction costs by locating power from existing infrastructure and leveraging relationships with cities and quasi-city partner organizations.
- Address site-specific issues that occur during construction.
- Be on site and hands-on as required.
- Monitors market pipeline to ensure continuous market growth.
QUALIFICATIONS

- Stays on top of details and remains organized to ensure that the right people are doing the right things at the right times on multiple projects in multiple cities.
- Communicates well to make sure people have the right information to move projects forward, and lets stakeholders know when they need to act to head off problems.
- Highly organized with strong project-management skills. Able to juggle multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders. Strong attention to detail, especially in engineering, construction, and permitting documentation.
- Rolls with the punches – flexible and versatile to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing daily activity of engineering and/or construction teams including reviewing construction documents.
- Experience obtaining permits for commercial projects in metropolitan areas. Experience working with city departments including Public Works, Building, Planning & Zoning.
- Experience coordinating with general contractors including answering RFIs and conducting field visits.
- Ability to travel throughout the country as projects demand.
- Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or Project Management or minimum of five-years professional experience in related field.
The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $130,000 annually depending on experience. OBM is an equal-opportunity employer, and provides competitive salary/incentive compensation and benefits, 401k match, and expense account.
