We are seeking a Cardiac Care Registered Nurse, also referred to as our Cardiac Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) or CCU RN. The Cardiac Nurse plays a critical role in attending to patients with heart conditions, cardiac issues, and associated illnesses, providing tailored care to enhance recovery and enhance quality of life.

Responsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but are not limited to):
- Monitor patients' cardiac status, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect any changes or abnormalities, which is crucial for patients recovering from cardiac procedures, heart attacks, or other cardiac conditions
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous drugs, cardiac medications, and pain management medications
- Perform assessments of patients' cardiac status, including physical assessments, review medical histories, and evaluate symptoms
- Provide education to patients and their families about cardiac conditions, treatment plans, medications, lifestyle modifications, and self-care practices
- React promptly to cardiac emergencies, including arrhythmias, cardiac arrests, or respiratory distress, necessitating immediate implementation of emergency procedures, administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and aiding in defibrillation and other crucial life-saving measures
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintained.
- Previous acute care hospital experience is preferred.
- Ventilator management experience preferred.
- Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
