RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Essential Functions

    • Workforce Planning
      • Build duty rosters for various departments in a timely, effective, and efficient manner and distribute accordingly.  Rosters include, but are not limited to:
        • Camp Operations
        • Museum Operations
        •  Camp Customer Service
        • Transportation
        • Security
        • Environmental Services (EVS)
        • Photography
      • Track weekly scheduled hours to reduce overtime while balancing and distributing hours evenly.
      • Track part-time hours to prevent overage in the annual hours available to work.
      • Input movie bookings into museum software (TAM).
      • Address staffing adjustments due to requests, special functions and corporate events.
      • Produce and update various grids and schedules including, but not limited to:
        • Photography grid
        • AC Sims grid
        • Ropes grid
        • Detailed transportation schedule
      • Create coordinator schedules using a rotation basis.
      • Review, approve, or deny time off requests.
      • Manage When2Work database for the addition and deletion of staff, updating staff availability, and area certifications.
      • Create and update museum daily group schedules with special functions and corporate events, classroom requirements, and meal requirements.
      • Other duties as assigned
    • Resource Planning
      • Create camp operations program schedules in a timely, effective, and efficient manner.
      • Deconflict operational schedules based on classroom requirements, special functions, and corporate events.
      • Build and distribute various grids. Grids include, but are not limited to:
        • Team Grid
        • Movie Grid
        • Meals Grid
      • Address scheduling adjustments due to special functions and corporate events.
      • Distribute completed schedules/grids and updates as required.
      • Build the support schedule for staffing purposes.
      • Work with the staffing specialist to optimize labor hours and customer experience.
      • Other duties as assigned.
    • Operations Specialists may be needed to fulfill front line roles during periods of staff shortages, low capacity, and training purposes.

    QUALIFICATIONS

     

    Required Education

    • 1 year college required; B.S. Degree in related field preferred.

    Required Experience

    • Experience in planning, managing, or coordinating projects, programs, or organizations. UKG WFM PRO experience preferred.
    • Must demonstrate:
      • Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and interpret information and data.
      • Planning and organizational skills to develop and implement effective and efficient plans.
      • Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate and communicate with diverse and multiple stakeholders.
      • Technical and digital skills to use various tools and software for planning, monitoring, and reporting.
      • Minimum of 3 months of experience as Camp Operations Crew Trainer preferred for Camp scheduling position or 3 months of experience in Museum Operations for the museum scheduling position. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with trainees and crew trainers. Must be organized, professional, and action oriented. 

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS

    Physical Requirements

    • Walking, climbing (stairs) to access other departments, buildings, and to experience all areas of the training center floor and museum.
    • Sitting for long periods of time (6-8 hrs.)
    • Pushing, carrying, and Lifting boxes, supplies, equipment up to 50lbs waist high.
    • Bending, kneeling, and reaching to store/retrieve supplies.
    • Sight, Reading, Wrist Movements, feeling to operate simulators, review schedules, write reports.
    • Talking, hearing to instruct crew trainers, trainees, and assist guests in person and over the telephone.

    Eligibility Qualifications

    • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Environmental Factors

    • This position involves working in a climate-controlled office environment and building. This position will involve walking to/from buildings in various weather conditions.  This position deals extensively with employees and guests who interact with assigned areas of responsibility. 

    Expected Hours of Work

    Monday-Friday 8a-5p
