The Role
The Manager, Innovation Pipeline & Development will be responsible for leading the sourcing and evaluation of startups for the Healthcare Innovation Engine and other initiatives, and supporting the development of compelling proposals that advance pilot opportunities, secure funding, and strengthen partnerships. This role will oversee the startup pipeline from initial identification and due diligence through to readiness for pilot consideration, ensuring a steady flow of high-potential innovations into the Engine. The Manager will support the development and coordination of grant applications, proposals, and pitch materials—helping to manage the pipeline of development opportunities to support programmatic goals in collaboration with the Senior Director. In addition, the Manager will play a role in researching corporate partnerships, developing industry-facing strategies, and identifying opportunities for corporate and foundation relationships. The position requires exceptional communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to balance detailed startup assessments with persuasive external writing and partner development.

The Manager will report directly to the Senior Director of the SciTech Innovation Hub and will work in close collaboration with the Healthcare Program Manager (who manages pilots, roundtables, and stakeholder execution) as well as the broader SciTech Scity team (Executive Director and Coordinator).
