Job Description
Lead the environmental engineering technical support in the day-to-day operation of a wet corn milling production facility that produces a diversified line of food ingredients, ethanol, corn oil and animal feed. This includes using technical knowledge and skills to partner with employees at all levels to ensure compliance with all environmental regulations by applying for new and modified permits, updating environmental programs, developing engineering solutions, and functioning as a strong advocate concerning environmental matters to enable ADM to be proactive in meeting environmental responsibilities. Position also responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of the plant’s Environmental Management System (EMS).
Main Responsibilities:
Primary environmental contact for the Marshall Corn Complex.
Effective implementation of standardized ADM environmental programs and systems to ensure compliance with company and local requirements.
Establish a sustainable environmental improvement culture across the complex based on continuous improvement through the environmental management system. This role will provide technical and managerial direction to ensure ADM’s environmental objectives are met.
Monitor, evaluate and report environmental performance and suggest corrective/preventive actions to further improve performance.
Provide environmental support to the complex within the area of approvals, permits, root cause analyses, sharing best practices, implementing the ADM standards and negotiations with authorities.
Participate in trade associations and government working groups.
Track and advise on new or upcoming legislation and regulations.
Participate in compliance audits and assessments including due diligence.
Facilitate training & development of direct reports.
The Environmental Manager may be contacted for after hour emergencies.

Environmental legislation experience in the US.

Additional Qualifications:
BS degree in Engineering, Environmental Management or other related program preferred.
5-10 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a process industrial environment
This position requires the ability to work in a variety of conditions such as an office environment, indoors/outdoors, hot/cold weather as well as physical demands such as standing, kneeling, and sitting for prolonged periods of time, climbing stairs/ladders and the ability to work in confined spaces in a variety of environmental conditions.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
$92,800.00 - $173,600.00
Salaried Incentive Plan
The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus and a long-term incentive plan
