Salary: $43,000 per the GTA Contract
Bargaining Unit (click here for contracts): GTA

Report Times: 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Daily Hours: 7
Work Year: 2025-2026

Civil Service Title: N/A

Minimum Requirements:
New York State certification in social work, school counseling, mental health, or school psychology

Desired Qualifications:
-New York State certification in social work, school counseling, mental health, or school psychology
-Internship certification or Non-certified teachers accepted on an as-needed basis

Position Summary/Responsibilities:
-Provide substitute mental health services for various levels in areas of social work, school counseling, and school psychology.
-Follow established plans and interventions outlined by the mental health staff in buildings.
-Responsibilities could include delivering classroom lessons, small group counseling, 1:1 counseling, academic planning, evaluation, delivering evidence-based interventions, parent counseling and training, and connecting families to community resources
-Manage student behavior, as needed
-Support attendance, as needed
-Hours vary per building and assignment
-Assignments will vary throughout the year
-Follow directions given by the school administration and/or cooperating Mental Health staff
