Position Summary: 

We are seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor for our Erie, PA location. The Machine Shop Supervisor will oversee the planning and directing Machine Shop production and production support activities. Supervision and utilization of personnel, materials, and equipment for efficient production. Designing efficient operations that produce a product that meets or exceeds customer requirements

 

Job Duties:

- Develop, implement and maintain Machine Shop standard practices

- Planning and scheduling of equipment, to ensure delivery dates are met and plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.

- Responsible for maintaining all necessary tooling to increase efficiency.

- Instructs and evaluates employees with emphasis on correct work methods, quality, safety, and company policy.

- Complete necessary CNC programming & training employees. Monitors production adjusts feed and other settings as necessary.

- Performs analysis of Engineering-issued bills of material for manufacturability and most economical method of manufacture.

- Creates instructions or code to properly program the machines to perform precise functions.

- Responsible for housekeeping throughout the Machine Shop & for maintaining safety requirements.

- Oversees the proper maintenance activities such as PMs and inspections occur to keep all the machines running efficiently and can produce quality product.

 

 

What you need to be successful: 

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

- 5+ years of experience in CNC Programming and operations.

- 3+ years of supervisory experience

- 5+ years operating, setting up and editing CNC and manual machines, such as lathes, mills, brake press, etc.

- 3+ years of experience working with sales and supporting the process to quote new jobs.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

- Ability to perform physical activities such as standing, walking, twisting, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
