About the Program...


As a Summer Sales Intern at FNIC, you won’t just be observing—you’ll be immersed in the world of sales and insurance. Through training, projects, and mentorship, you’ll develop essential business and sales skills while gaining exposure to FNIC’s core areas:

Our program is designed to identify and grow future talent. Top-performing interns may be considered for full-time opportunities after graduation. 


What You’ll Do...

As an FNIC intern, every day brings new challenges and opportunities. You’ll...

  • Build connections: Assist with prospecting, lead generation, and communicating with clients & prospects (with mentorship). 
  • Discover trends: Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and assess industry shifts. 
  • Get hands-on with technology: Learn FNIC’s agency management system (Applied Epic) to track leads and manage pipelines. 
  • Create impact: Assist in preparing client proposals, presentations, and marketing materials. 
  • Expand your network: Join mentors at client meetings, networking events, and community engagements. 
  • See the bigger picture: Shadow teams across departments to understand the full policy lifecycle. 
  • Learn by doing: Participate in ride-alongs, support mentor producers on projects, and complete a mid-summer and final capstone project showcasing your growth.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For...

  • College Juniors or Seniors (preferred majors: Business, Sales, Finance, Risk Management & Insurance, or related fields) 
  • Strong communication skills—both written and verbal 
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable 
  • Collaborative and team-oriented with a self-starter mindset 
  • Professional presence when interacting with clients and partners 
  • Eligible for a Nebraska Apprentice Insurance Producer License 
  • Prior sales experience is great, but not required—we’ll teach you what you need to know!
