The Opportunity

As a Solutions Architect, Supply Chain Systems, you will be the go-to expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain, playing a critical role in shaping Freshpet’s technology strategy for operations. This position is focused on supply chain planning, production, purchasing, and inventory management, ensuring our operations are both optimized and scalable as we continue to grow.

As a key member of Freshpet’s Technology team, you will work within the Business Applications group, collaborating closely with leaders across manufacturing, procurement, demand planning, logistics, and IT. Together, you will design, implement, and support end-to-end solutions that drive business performance and operational excellence.

Your work will include planning optimization, materials planning, inventory reservations, finished goods management, and purchasing workflows, all while ensuring compliance with Freshpet’s standards and policies.

This is a flexible hybrid position, requiring 3 days onsite per week at one of Freshpet’s offices in Ennis, TX; Bethlehem, PA; or Bedminster, NJ.

How You Will Make an Impact

In this role, you will:

• Lead Freshpet’s D365 Supply Chain strategy by designing and optimizing processes for planning, production, purchasing, and inventory control.
• Partner with business leaders to define and document requirements, identify fit/gaps, and translate needs into scalable, efficient D365 solutions.
• Configure and manage D365 Planning Optimization for accurate demand forecasting, production planning, and material requirements planning (MRP).
• Oversee inventory reservation logic and finished goods handling, ensuring accurate tracking of materials and products across facilities.
• Drive improvements in procurement and purchasing processes, including supplier collaboration and automated purchase workflows.
• Partner with logistics/warehousing teams to optimize stock (across both internal and 3PL channels), lead times, and replenishment strategies.
• Lead full-cycle implementations of D365 enhancements, from design through testing, deployment, and stabilization.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure proper governance, security, and compliance within all D365 processes.
• Provide advanced Level 2+ support, troubleshooting complex issues and mentoring other team members.
• Act as the liaison between IT, business stakeholders, and partners, ensuring solutions meet both technical and operational needs.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or consumer goods industries supporting enterprise systems.
• 7+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX/D365, with at least 2 years specifically in D365 Supply Chain.
• Expertise in:
  • D365 Planning Optimization for demand and supply planning.
  • Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and production scheduling.
  • Purchasing and procurement workflows.
  • Inventory management, including inventory reservations and finished goods tracking.
• Experience leading at least two full-cycle ERP implementations, one being D365.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
