Our Geriatric Medicine practice in Holmdel, NJ is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care to older adults. We are seeking a skilled and caring full time Medical Assistant (MA) to support clinical operations and ensure high-quality patient care.
Position Summary:
This role focuses on clinical support, including preparing patients for exams, assisting during procedures, managing medical records, and performing tasks such as taking vital signs and drawing blood.
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 9am-6pm
Wednesday - 8am-12pm
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant training program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a healthcare or medical office setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Bilingual skills to support a diverse patient population
Key Responsibilities:
- Take vital signs and medical histories
- Assist providers during exams and procedures
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of instruments
- Accurately manage and update patient records
Required Skills:
- Proficiency in medical assisting and phlebotomy
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Competence in using medical instruments and clinical systems
- Attention to detail in patient care and documentation
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with EHR systems
- Bilingual communication abilities
