About the Role:
The Shop Manager will oversee the daily operations of the shop located in Deer Park, TX, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality output. This role is pivotal in managing staff, coordinating schedules, and maintaining inventory to meet production goals and customer satisfaction. The Shop Manager will implement safety protocols and quality control measures to uphold company standards and regulatory compliance. Additionally, the role involves liaising with suppliers and customers to facilitate smooth transactions and resolve any operational issues. Ultimately, the Shop Manager will drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and foster a positive work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing or workshop environment.
- Strong knowledge of shop operations, equipment, and safety regulations.
- Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
- Basic computer skills for inventory management and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or higher in Business Management, Industrial Technology, or related field.
- Experience with inventory management software and production scheduling tools.
- Certification in occupational safety or related areas.
- Demonstrated success in process improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily shop activities to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Manage and mentor shop staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
- Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships.
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Monitor quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Develop and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to shop operations.
- Prepare reports on production, inventory, and staff performance for senior management.

The Shop Manager will utilize leadership and organizational skills daily to coordinate staff and manage workflow efficiently.
