EMR, a trusted leader in electric motor repair, service, and sales for over 98 years, is seeking a Service Coordinator to join our team at our Baltimore City location(25th Street). This role is critical to keeping our service operations organized, efficient, and customer-focused.
As our current Service Coordinator is being promoted, we’re looking for someone who can step in and continue to provide exceptional support to our service department and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update service order statuses to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion.
- Enter new service orders into the system, prepare paperwork, and create job tickets.
- Serve as a point of contact for customers: answer calls/emails, greet counter customers, and provide updates in a professional, timely manner.
- Prepare and submit quotes, ensuring customers are contacted promptly once complete.
- Coordinate pick-ups and deliveries with customers and technicians.
- Reconcile parts and materials on completed jobs, adjusting for accuracy before finalizing.
- Return unused parts to inventory or vendors in line with return policies.
- Issue purchase orders for technicians as needed.
- Assist with New Products/Parts responsibilities when needed (e.g., PTO coverage or increased workload).
- Communicate proactively with the Operations Manager, Service Manager, and Shop Foreman when issues arise on service orders.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a service, repair, or technical support role is a plus.
- Familiarity with parts, inventory, or purchase order processes is helpful.
