Accounting Manager for Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the financial operations of our Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven organization dedicated to providing quality healthcare services to underserved communities. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including FQHC-specific requirements
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to support organizational decision-making
- Coordinate and facilitate annual audits and financial reviews
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard organizational assets
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure accurate billing, reimbursement, and grant management
- Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships
- Stay current with changes in healthcare finance regulations and best practices

Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in healthcare or non-profit organizations
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, federal healthcare regulations, and grant accounting
- Experience with accounting software and financial management systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective leadership and communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
