1 Tom Plumber is a professional, service-focused, emergency drain clearing, water damage mitigation and plumbing service company providing services to both commercial and residential properties.

Position Purpose

Plumber Helpers assist/ride along with Licensed Plumbers to help them complete the required service work for the customer.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Customer Service

• Rapidly responding to plumbing & drain cleaning calls, both during business hours and on call.
• Know how to establish customer rapport to provide the right products and services.
• Educate and assist customers with their issues.
• Help customers select the right maintenance plan and understand warranty information.
• Explain reasons for blockage and illustrate how you will resolve the issue.
  

Technical

• Complete all drain cleaning and plumbing related work related to on-site service calls alongside the Plumber.
• Protect equipment and help keep a well-inventoried truck.
  

Administrative

• Work alongside plumbers, customer service and dispatch to ensure overall success of the business.
  
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and well-inventoried truck.
• Follow health and safety standards and comply with building codes.

• Participate actively in all training exercises, company meetings, and on-call rotation.

Physical Requirements

• Wear protection equipment such as hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, safety shoes, high visibility vest, and other items as required.
• Ability to maintain balance.
• Frequent moderate lifting, repetitive motion, bending, walking, climbing ladders, and working from heights.
• Occasional heavy lifting, kneeling, stooping, and crouching.
• Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures, precipitation, confined spaces, loud conditions, heights, and other environments.
