About the Position
In this role, you will...
Operation of mowing and other various equipment in assigned work areas.
Perform work on athletic fields and common grounds at park locations throughout the County.
Use of other maintenance equipment and handheld tools to assist co-workers in accomplishing daily tasks at various park locations.
Perform Park and Athletic Field maintenance work, including, but not limited to, other assigned athletic field maintenance, hand weeding, mulching, digging, turf trimming, tree trimming, hand collection and disposal of litter, removal and installation of plant materials and trees.
Safely utilize gas-powered string trimmers, stick edgers, pole saws, backpack blowers, chain saws, utility carts, and other miscellaneous small hand-operated landscape maintenance tools to perform assigned duties.
Safely operate, fuel, perform general maintenance, change mower blades, clean equipment, perform small-engine repairs, and perform safety checks on all listed equipment.
Assist with the transportation of equipment to and from park locations, and delivery of fuel to various parks throughout the south district.
About the Schedule
Work Hours:
Full-Time, 40 hours per week.
Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or its equivalent AND two years of experience.
Valid Florida Driver’s License by date of hire.
About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $19.56 (Step 1)
