Judge & Priestley are now recruiting for an Claims Handler to join our Subrogated Recovery.

Key Responsibilities

To effectively and efficiently administer new instructions relating to road traffic accidents, with the aim of recovering money for insurer clients and meeting and preferably exceeding individual and team targets.
 
KEY TASK AREAS
 
  • To action new instructions received from clients, including:
  • Appropriate and timely recording of case details on the relevant case management system
  • Issuing of standard documentation to gather information from all relevant parties to the accident
  • Using departmental guidelines to assess whether court proceedings should be issued for each case
  • To build and maintain effective professional relationships with clients
  • To communicate effectively with all parties e.g. policy holders, third parties, third party insurers,  bailiffs, sheriffs & tracing agents, both on the telephone and in person

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications
  • Educated to GCSE standard in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Experience
  • Customer Service experience (desirable)
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of case management systems (desirable)
  • An understanding and knowledge of court procedures or an ability to be trained to the above requirements
