The 3 customer focused individuals will be based at:
Meadows Library, Wilford Grove, Nottingham, NG2 2DR primarily with 1 shift per week at St Ann's Valley Joint Service Centre 2 Livingstone Road, Nottingham, NG3 3GG - 21.5 hours per week.
Bulwell Riverside Library, Bulwell Riverside Centre, Main St, Bulwell, Nottingham NG6 8QJ - 17 hours per week. With Saturday working at Southglade Library, Southglade Road, Bestwood, Nottingham, NG5 5GU
Dales Centre Library, 206 Sneinton Dale, Sneinton, Nottingham NG2 4HJ - 16.5 hours per week.
We work to a 3 week timetable and the hours listed above will mirror the library opening hours.

About the Role
The Library Customer Advisor plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, inclusive and engaging environment for all library users. The position involves delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors of any age.
The postholder will encourage greater engagement with library services by offering guidance and support, ensuring the needs of the community remain central to the library experience.
Additionally, the postholder will assist and deliver activities that promote literacy, wellbeing, and educational aspirations, working collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers, and partners to create a vibrant and inclusive library space.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of good customer service.
- Good communication skills including being able to respond to a range of enquiries, in person, by phone, written or through alternative platforms including supporting customers with the completion of online and paper forms.
- A range of technical skills to assist customers including good computer knowledge to enable them to carry out tasks within the library.
- Ability to process stock and file alphabetically and numerically.
- Ability to be able to confidently promote, deliver and support a programme of events.
- Ability to work within a team.
- the opportunity to be flexible as you may be asked to work at any Nottingham City Library.
