Polaris Industries, Inc. is seeking a dynamic and driven Software Engineer to join our fast-paced manufacturing operations team. This role focuses on optimizing the flow of parts and inventory across our manufacturing plants by leveraging Blue Yonder’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) capabilities.

As a key member of the Polaris team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and implementing software solutions that enhance warehouse operations and labor management. You will collaborate closely with product managers, application developers, and business stakeholders to ensure that solutions align with both business objectives and technology strategies.

This role directly impacts operational efficiency and product delivery across our plants. You'll have opportunities to lead initiatives, work with cutting-edge technologies, and grow into leadership roles.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Systems and Enterprise Architecture

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Leads, and Software Engineers to understand business and functional requirements.
  • Design and maintain system architecture for material flow management, including data flows and system interfaces.
  • Translate problem statements into software designs and configurations using Blue Yonder WMS and ERP platforms.
  • Document functional capabilities and configurations of BY WMS.
  • Lead the creation of deliverables such as configuration/tailoring documents, integrations, and user interface mock-ups.
  • Develop and execute test cases; perform system and user acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Provide post-installation support, including responding to user inquiries and helpdesk tickets.
  • Participate in project planning and administrative meetings.

Technical Leadership

  • Demonstrate deep expertise in Blue Yonder’s material flow and warehouse management solutions, as well as related ERP systems.
  • Design and implement custom features using MOCA, Page Builder, and BY Integrator
  • Apply strong analytical skills to interpret operational data and deliver actionable insights.
  • Develop and configure BY WMS components including:
    • WMS package configuration
    • Integrator setup
    • Views, Jasper Reports, and Workflow automation
    • RF device integration and label/barcode printing
  • Utilize experience with Windows SQL Server platforms for data management and system integration.
  • Apply knowledge of manufacturing plant operations to optimize software solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with Blue Yonder WMS in a discrete manufacturing plant environment.
  • Broad experience with ERP platforms; preference given to candidates with Infor XA or SAP.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is preferred.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
