The Role
The Aurecon Building team is seen as a leader in the design of building structures in the Victorian and South Australian markets. With a growing pipeline of work across a range of different projects and sectors, we are looking to grow our local team and attract talented people.
We are seeking a Melbourne-based Senior Structures Engineer to work in our buildings team and provide their expertise to major projects across Victoria and South Australia. The team is led by Colin Morrow and is supported by a strong team of experienced engineers and modellers.
Here are the key things you will do to ‘bring ideas to life’.
Timely delivery of design packages, achieving the requirements of the approval process to meet the time frame requirements of the project
Collaborate within a team environment and in communicating concepts / ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Be able to work independently and autonomously to deliver project documentation to a high standard
Be able to effectively communicate with a multi-disciplinary team in a major project environment
Review design components, such as drawings, reports, specifications and studies to ensure the adequacy and compliancy of the design
Train and mentor junior staff
What we are looking for:
Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or similar)
Extensive buildings structures engineering experience and design to Australian standards
A passion to engage in the creative and innovative development of digital engineering technology and continuous improvement systems
Experience in successfully working in project teams with both internal and external clients
