Position Responsibilities:
- Takes on special cleaning tasks and completes them thoroughly and promptly, meeting hospital and departmental standards.
- Demonstrates skills in caring for hard surface floors and carpets, including dusting, damp mopping, and buffing, as observed.
- Collects waste and soiled linens hospital-wide and manages biomedical waste following Infection Control policies and procedures.
- Cleans service corridors, waiting areas, stairwells, and other designated spaces.
Demonstrates knowledge of correct use and appropriate dilution of chemicals. Responsible for economical use of supply as controlled through distribution.
Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning/maintenance work experience preferred.
- High School or GED preferred.
