Summary
The Care Coordinator Supervisor provides oversight and coordination of client care for youth in the Residential Treatment Program at Every Child’s Hope. This includes supervising direct client-support positions such as care managers, nursing staff, aftercare provider, intake coordinator and receptionist. Additionally, this role coordinates and communicates with representatives from Children’s Division, Juvenile Court Systems, and Show Me Healthy Kids as the primary liaison for youth placed in our care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Interviews, trains and supervises a team of Care Managers.
- Assists Care Managers in case planning and reviewing
- Ensures that clinical files are up to date and complete per ECH standards, coordinating peer record reviews and reviewing Treatment Plans and case notes for accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborates and works closely with the Clinical Team in treatment planning and discharge coordination
- Facilitates intake and discharge planning with ECH intake coordinator, insurance companies, families, court representatives, and CD workers
- Participates in Treatment Team meetings as needed in a supervisory capacity
- Completes administrative functions associated with placement including gathering consents forms, collecting documents and receiving releases
- Reviews Admissions Assessments, Initial Service Plan and visitation and phone privileges as managed by Care Management team
- Attends required meetings to articulate the agency positions and recommendations on treatment issues to parents, CD, DMH, SMHK’s and the Family Courts
- Liaison work with managed care companies and other referral sources to describe intake protocols, advocating and negotiating length of stays and any other type of communication sharing that our referral customers require from us
- Assistance in quality assurance and utilization review procedures with special emphasis with follow-up and outcome study data for children served in residential units
- Maintains Safe Crisis Management (SCM) competency and attend and complete training as assigned by ECH training coordinator to stay within licensing guidelines
- Responsible for oversight of school registration and collaboration with Normandy School District and ECH’s on-site school
- Represents service team at judicial hearings, IEP meetings, psychiatric appointments and other administrative meetings
- Primary contact for CD, DMH, DJO, alliance and other manage care entities
- Other duties include managing clinical records, fulfilling various records requests (for center for excellence, audits, etc.), scheduling and participating in the on-call clinical team rotation.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises an assigned team within the Residential Treatment Program to include the Care managers, Intake coordinator, Aftercare provider, Nursing staff, and Administrative assistant/receptionist. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance at 90-days and annually thereafter; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Strong leadership abilities to motivate and guide staff, along with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients, staff and stakeholders. Provide guidance and support to ensure their team meets performance standards and ultimately deliver high-quality care to all those we serve.

Education and Experience
Preferred master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, Family Therapy, or other related social services field is required.
A minimum of (2) years relevant experience, including supervisory experience.
Preference given to past experience within a residential treatment setting.
