About The Role:

R&R Plumbing (a subsidiary of Arbor Homes) is seeking a dynamic and experienced President to lead a high-volume plumbing company that services a large-scale new home builder in the Indianapolis market, Arbor and Silverthorne Homes. The President will be responsible for the strategic direction, operational leadership, and financial performance of the company. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of residential construction, plumbing systems, workforce management, and scaling operations in a fast-paced environment.

What Will You Be Doing?

Strategic Leadership

  • Set and execute the long-term vision and growth strategy of the plumbing company in alignment with the builder’s volume and standards.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership of the builder to ensure alignment of construction timelines and quality expectations.
  • Drive innovation in plumbing practices, technologies, and service delivery.
     

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of plumbing services across 1400 new builds annually.
  • Optimize labor, scheduling, and material logistics to improve productivity and reduce delays or cost overruns.
  • Maintain a culture of safety, quality, and compliance with all local and state plumbing codes.
     

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 85+ employees including project managers, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and performance-driven culture.
  • Implement training programs to support skills development and safety compliance.

Financial Management

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial targets.
  • Analyze financial performance, operational KPIs, and project profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process efficiency, and margin improvement.
     

Customer & Builder Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the builder’s executive and construction teams.
  • Ensure superior customer service through timely communication and issue resolution.
  • Represent the company at industry events, builder meetings, and trade associations.
     

What Will You Bring?

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in plumbing, mechanical contracting, or residential construction.
  • Proven success in managing operations at a similar scale (1,000+ homes/year or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems, codes, materials, and installation standards.
  • Experience leading large field and office teams in a high-volume environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to scale a business.
  • Strong financial acumen and operational discipline.
  • Collaborative communicator able to work cross-functionally with homebuilder teams.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and team development.
