Employee will perform all operations required to support customer needs. Must be able and willing to fill in and support any and all other class operations when a demand is needed. Must have the willingness to learn new operations as needed.
Employee will perform services for internal and outside needs. These services are to include but not limited to: Set Up and Operate Powder Paint and, Liquid Paint equipment, Inspection of parts, Testing of Pre-Treat solutions. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Must have the ability to meet demanding needs from customers and perform multiple tasks quickly.
Duties and Responsibilities
This job includes but is not limited to the following:
- Set up, repair, and adjust Equipment for both Powder and Liquid Paint lines.
- Identify and solve problems.
- Assist in the training of new operators.
- Verify quality of production and process as required.
- Operate Forklift in a safe manner.
- Work in a safe manner, so not to endanger or injure self or co-workers. Report unsafe conditions.
- Capable and willing to work overtime.
- Participate in training to upgrade skills as necessary, to move forward with changing technology.
- Required to complete paperwork associated with the job (time card, machine card, production records, charts, preventive maintenance records, etc.).
- Wear required personal protective equipment.
- Perform other associated duties, functions or work as may be needed or assigned to continue the productive operation of the company.
- Keep work area clean and orderly.
- Perform maintenance and testing needs of equipment and materials.
- A good attendance record is required.
- Must be trained and qualified in cosmetic inspection and/or be willing to be trained in cosmetic inspection as a requirement of the position.
- Able to work safely with hazardous materials.
- Work in safe manner to prevent injury to self or other employees. Report any unsafe conditions.
- Must follow all safety rules and policies as set forth by OSHA guidelines and Pace Industries policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual.
- MUST BE WILLING TO BE TRAINED.
- Refusal of training can and may result in disqualification and/or disciplinary action.
Position Requirements
Must be able to read and understand written directives. The predominate forms of instructions are written and verbal. Operators must be capable of translating verbal orders into action. Good safety and attendance record, and good communication skills required. Must have a tow motor license.
