Job Requirements

Requirement Engineering & Architecture

  • Derive hardware requirements from system-level specifications and architectures.

  • Develop and maintain high-level hardware concepts and architectures.

  • Ensure traceability and full coverage of system requirements in hardware design.

PCB Design & Development

  • Create schematics and layouts using Altium Designer, optimized for high-voltage and high-current applications.

  • Apply advanced HV design principles, including creepage/clearance, insulation coordination, and EMI/EMC compliance.

  • Integrate thermal management and current-handling strategies into PCB and system design.

Simulation, Testing & Validation

  • Perform circuit simulations and hardware integration tests.

  • Define and execute design verification and validation plans.

  • Support system-level testing, prototype builds, and root-cause analysis.

Design for Manufacturing & Documentation

  • Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability, cost efficiency, and assembly.

  • Prepare comprehensive documentation including design packages, test reports, and end-of-line requirements.

  • Contribute to market research and competitor benchmarking to guide design decisions and cost structures.

What your background should look like

  • 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in automotive high-voltage (HV) applications.

  • Strong expertise in high-voltage system design (IEC 60664-1 compliance).

  • Proficiency in Altium Designer for PCB schematic and layout development.

  • Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based hardware designs.

  • Working knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity design principles.

  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols: CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, SPI, JTAG, WiFi.

  • Hands-on experience with Vector tools: CANoe, CANalyzer.

  • Solid understanding of thermal management, current-handling strategies, and EMI/EMC mitigation.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams and support project planning and analysis.

  • Experience coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.

  • Technical expertise in hardware domain knowledge and application engineering (translating customer requirements into solutions).

  • Strategic agility: identifying technology trends and leveraging global capabilities to increase customer value.

  • Engineering leadership: developing technical roadmaps, managing cross-functional efforts, and aligning designs with market direction.

  • Innovation focus: defining/managing IP strategy and driving product improvements through R&D.

  • People development: mentoring engineers, succession planning, and building organizational capability.

  • Quality focus: ensuring compliance, testing rigor, and high-quality deliverables.
