In our unique position, we recognize our purpose to accelerate human breakthroughs that enrich lives and the world. Driven by the needs for efficiency and security and fueled by technology innovation, we drive our customers success by combining analog, digital and software into easy-to-use solutions that transform signals into actions and insights. We lead the Intelligent Edge.
The ADI Digital Platforms Group (SDP) develops digital architecture and digital system designs for a wide range of product lines. As a Digital System Architect in the group, you’ll work on a team which develops the system architecture of products in our micro-controller portfolio. We combine processor cores, neural nets, memory systems, peripherals, signal processing accelerators, and interfaces into differentiated high-performance digital sub-systems. You’ll define the architecture of future ASICs used to make data centers more efficient, electrify transportation, make digital and personalized healthcare possible, provide ubiquitous connectivity and communication, and create immersive consumer experiences. We’ll embed the marketing teams to visit customers, working alongside world-class analog and mixed signal counterparts to define innovative and ground-breaking new products.
You will be involved with the entire front-end of product development, including specification and architecture, algorithm prototyping and evaluation, behavioral modelling and RTL coding, synthesis and timing analysis closure, and verification. In this role, you will collaborate with design teams at other ADI sites and with customers which will require occasional travel.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop, prototype, and evaluate digital architecture for signal processing, realtime control and other functions
Specify (and occasionally model or design) hardware blocks in Verilog RTL
Develop performance models of digital systems utilizing Matlab, C or SystemC
Minimum Qualifications:
BTech/MTech degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field
4+ years of experience working with Digital Systems/Hardware including experience with Digital Signal Processing
Background in processor architecture and design, digital processing datapaths, scoreboarding, bus architecture, memory system architecture, processor peripherals, chip interfaces, security, etc would be a significant plus.
Experience working with Matlab/Simulink , C or Python to generate models and running simulations
ASIC design experience, including with both high-speed and low-power RTL design and familiarity with physical design
High level verification language (UVM, SystemVerilog, SystemC, etc.), random test generation, coverage analysis, & assertions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Programming proficiency in C and a variety of other languages
Intelligence, enthusiasm, and a solid work ethic are valued more than any particular skill
