Description
We are looking for a Rental Fleet Repair & Maintenance Coordinator to evaluate, authorize, and manage repairs to our rental fleet. In this role, you will ensure repairs are necessary, cost-effective, and aligned with fleet lifecycle strategies, while maintaining compliance with company guidelines and vendor relationships.
What You Will Do
- Review and approve repair work orders, quotes, and recommendations.
- Evaluate repair costs, labor, and parts usage; ensure proper accounting and coding.
- Research repair history, warranties, technical bulletins, and vendor information to validate repairs.
- Prioritize repairs based on fleet lifecycle, revenue potential, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stores and Condition Monitoring teams to determine in-house vs. external repairs and ensure preventive maintenance is up to date.
- Track scheduled services, monitor work orders, and manage maintenance and repair expenses.
- Use telematics and fleet data to improve repair decisions, reduce downtime, and optimize fleet performance.
Requirements
What You Will Need
- Mechanical experience or knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance is a plus.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency with fleet management software and telematics platforms.
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple repair schedules.
- Attention to detail to ensure process compliance, accurate reporting, and cost control.
