Role Overview

The Vice President of Service Parts will provide leadership and implementation of parts planning, demand, forecast, fulfillment, repairs, for Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators and Auxiliaries. VP of Service Parts will lead teams and individual contributors responsible for the response to both internal and external requests for quote, order entry, parts planning, delivery, and billing. The VP of Service Parts will provide insights and collaborate with Supply Chain, S&OP, Sales, Commercial Ops, Engineering, Service Operations and Field Outage Services to maximize customer satisfaction and profitability of Power Generation Services. The VP of Service parts will maintain reporting and KPI’s on all inventory and assets. The VP of Service Parts leads the team on all coordination and communication for the activities involved with the Order Fulfillment process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates our core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership.
  • Build and develop the service parts team culture while owning and enhancing parts quotation and order fulfillment processes.
  • Lead engineering, supply chain, logistics teams to identify defects, manage and troubleshoot, mitigate challenges to attain time and completion goals.
  • Identify process and capability gaps and implement improvements to exceed client expectations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis around defects to reduce recurrence and mitigate defect impacts to clients.
  • Consult and strategize with pricing analysts, sourcing and suppliers around costs and delivery targets.
  • Create guidelines and requirements that streamline consistent delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Enforce and comply with all environmental health and safety policies, practices, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering, Construction, Business or any relevant four year degree from an accredited university. 
  • 12+ years of leading service parts engineering departments in the Power Generation Industry.
  • Develop, implement, and standardize processes to increase efficiencies related to part processing, exchanges, and S&OP’s.
  • Manage financial budgets and goals of the parts business including, actual vs sold reviews, invoice approvals and A/R collection efforts.
  • Support warranty and Quality Product Lifecycle Management team on warranty claims.
  • Forecast parts demand while considering all supply chain areas including new/reparable parts, factory, and vendor supply chain.
  • Delivery parts availability data (current inventory/age, incoming future demand/intended use, repair I&A and repair completion timing, brown inventory) to key stakeholders.
  • Implement and support ISO 9001 compliance initiatives and audits.
  • Train and identify upskilling areas to ensure your team’s success.
  • Ability to travel up to 35%.
