Flower Shop Delivery Driver bei Cedar Memorial

Summary: The Flower Shop at Cedar Memorial Park is in search of a part-time Delivery Driver to work 3-4 days per week from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM and every other Saturday. Performs deliveries and courier responsibilities for the Flower Shop. Delivers flowers for visitations, services and receptions held at Cedar Memorial and at the Family Center, both onsite and to various locations in Cedar Rapids and the surrounding areas.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Obtain copy of the current day services, visitations and Family Center events from Flower Shop management. 
• Organize the day with the Manager or Assistant Manager to determine the times of services/deliveries.
• Assure that deliveries are made on time.
• Maintains a helpful, friendly, problem-solving attitude with staff and with customers, internal and external to the Cedar Memorial site.
• Assists customers in getting flower arrangements/plants into their homes.
• Delivers and places daily cemetery placements.
• Assists with duties in the Flower Shop as needed.
• Maintains the Shop Delivery Van, (Gas/Oil/Fluids/Washing/Maintenance/Repair scheduling/Tires) and notifies Manager of any significant maintenance needs.
• Maintains cleanliness of the van and cargo area.
• Procures copy of next day services and visitations to pre-plan timed delivery requirements for the following day before leaving.
• Ensures that the van is gassed, locked, and keys returned to the hook in the basket room each day before leaving.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to drive safely.
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
• Ability to plan delivery routes.
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
• Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent. 
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record. 

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
