Role Overview
The Quality Control Inspector ensures all products meet strict quality standards through precise inspection, documentation, and process improvement. The ideal candidate has strong problem-solving skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and experience in quality control.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections on parts and assemblies.
- Document inspection results and enter findings into the ERP system.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Use measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators, indicators, etc.) to verify product dimensions and functionality.
- Review work orders and create quality plans to ensure compliance with requirements.
- Prioritize inspection tasks to support on-time delivery.
- Communicate with team members and management on nonconforming parts, line completion, or missing information.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance quality control.
- Complete detailed reports on inspection outcomes.
- Handle parts for inspection, cleaning, lubricating, bluing, assembly, and transport.
- Perform other related inspection duties as required to support overall quality objectives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read blueprints and operate precision measurement tools.
- CMM experience preferred.
- Familiarity with ISO, NADCAP, or AS9100 standards strongly desired.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
