What will you be doing?

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for the repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of industrial equipment, machinery, and facility systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical skills, experience in a manufacturing environment, and a proactive approach to equipment reliability.

Some of your day-to-day tasks?

  • Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose issues, replace or repair defective parts, and ensure equipment is returned to service quickly and safely.
  • Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS (computerized maintenance management system).
  • Support installation and setup of new equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout, and ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and the general cleanliness of the maintenance work area.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including process efficiency and equipment reliability.

What do you need to be able to do?

  • This position is very active and will require standing, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and climbing during the shift. The employee must frequently move or lift items over 50 pounds by hand or with assistance from lifting equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or trade certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Experience with welding, fabrication, and basic machining a plus.
  • Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting (preferred but not required).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or off-shifts as required.
