The salary range for this position is $99,000 - $110,000. The base salary offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units will be provided as part of the compensation package.
This is a remote position - must be open to 50% travel with flexibility to work weekends and holidays as necessary.
About the Role
The Field Execution Manager for Global Safety and Security Technology and Systems will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing Wayfair’s physical security infrastructure across global operations. This position will manage projects and service, maintain infrastructure uptime, and collaborate on system designs of new and retrofit initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in security systems, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners. This role requires hands-on expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in safety and security operations.
What You’ll Do
Project Execution & Coordination
- Lead the delivery of security technology projects from initiation through completion, ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope.
- Coordinate on-site installation, integration, and deployment of security systems, working closely with vendors and field teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Track project progress, resolve roadblocks, and escalate issues when necessary to keep initiatives on schedule.
Operational Support & Compliance
- Support the rollout of security technology initiatives by creating, updating, or following established SOPs and ensuring consistent application across locations.
- Conduct operational checks and participate in audits to confirm systems are functioning as intended and meet compliance requirements.
- Provide clear documentation and status updates to stakeholders to maintain transparency and accountability.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact during project execution, ensuring alignment between internal teams, vendors, and external partners.
- Collaborate with Legal, Talent Management, IT, and Operations to ensure operational requirements match project deliverables.
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure timely service and quality outcomes.
Incident Response Support
- Assist in responding to and resolving security incidents by coordinating on-the-ground actions and ensuring follow-up tasks are completed.
- Document findings from incidents to inform process improvements and prevent recurrence.
Continuous Improvement
- Provide feedback from field execution to inform future project planning and technology enhancements.
- Stay informed on operational best practices to recommend incremental improvements in efficiency and effectiveness.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or 5+ years of experience in access control, camera and VMS systems, alarm monitoring, or as a system integrator.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with experience managing remote and on-site security system support.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action, adaptability to ambiguity, and a focus on delivering results.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling security matters.
- Strong business acumen, able to work within a budget and demonstrate sound decision-making capabilities.
- Expertise in physical security design, development, and implementation.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to gain stakeholder buy-in and navigate a complex organization.
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the U.S. and globally as required.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as necessary.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (e.g., sitting or standing).
- Ability to move about within an office, store, or warehouse environment.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications such as Axis, Hanwha, Lenel, DMP, or similar.
- Hands-on technical experience with security systems and a working knowledge of basic electronic concepts.
- Proven experience with Windows and Linux server management, access control and VMS programming, SQL
- Experience with security and life safety best practices, particularly in retail and distribution environments.
- Background in project management, risk assessments, and threat vulnerability analysis.
