Timpte is looking for a Machinist for our BRAND NEW Lincoln Manufacturing Center in  Lincoln, NE! In this role, you will machine parts using various equipment (including CNC) working from production schedules and cut sheets. The selected candidate will also program new parts and makes necessary program changes. 

Pay for this position is $25-32/hr based on experience + Monthly bonus.

Job Responsibilities

•    Takes precise measurements for cutting or shaping.

•    Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.

•    Monitors production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.

•    Checks output for quality assurance and documents or discards defects.

•    Perform preventative maintenance to keep tools and equipment in good working condition.

•    Practice good housekeeping and keep work area organized.  

•    Inspect work for quality, workmanship and that they meet blueprint tolerances.        

Desired Skills, Knowledge, and Qualifications

•    3-5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•    Prefer 2-year Machinist/Tooling or related degree.

•    Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and trailer schedules.

•    Knowledge to operate machines, hand tools, tape measures, and other equipment. 

•    Proficient in basic Math.

•    Ability to work with general supervision and make basic quality decisions. 

•    Must be able to work with other employees. 

•    Prior manufacturing/production and CNC experience preferred.

•    Basic Computer skills

•    Ability to learn job and be fully competent within 6 to 12 months.
