As the Manager, Supply Management & Field Sourcing, you will lead strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier management efforts that directly support H&R Block’s retail tax offices. You will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services that support field operations. This role plays a critical part in enabling operational efficiency, cost savings, and service excellence across our national footprint.
Day to day, you'll:
- Manage sourcing and procurement activities for field-facing programs and services
- Lead supplier onboarding, contract negotiations, and performance management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define sourcing needs and align supplier capabilities
- Monitor supplier compliance with service level agreements and escalate issues as needed
- Drive resolution of operational challenges related to field sourcing and supply management
- Develop and maintain sourcing documentation, including RFPs, contracts, and process flows
- Partner with Finance, Legal, and Field Operations to ensure alignment on sourcing decisions
- Analyze spend data and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Lead and develop a team of Sourcing Support Specialists responsible for resolving sourcing and supply chain issues impacting retail tax offices
- Support seasonal planning and execution for field programs, including promotional merchandise and office supplies
- Communicate regularly with suppliers to ensure timely updates and issue resolution
- Lead cross-functional meetings to track progress on sourcing initiatives and ensure accountability
- Provide guidance and support to team members and internal partners on sourcing best practices
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience
- 8 years minimum related work experience
- Advanced communication and presentation skills with an ability to tell a compelling ‘story’ and effectively communicate with senior management
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize large amounts of complex data into meaningful insights and conclusions
- Prior contracting and negotiation experience
