Responsibilities:
We are seeking current RT Students, sometimes referred to as a Student Techs, at Providence Medical Center, a member of Prime Healthcare in Kansas City, KS.
You will be part of our Respiratory staff, performing a wide range of duties to support patient care.
Employment Type: PRN/Per Diem
Shifts Available: Varies
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
- performing respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
- assessment, planning, implementation and documentation of care, with consideration of age and population specific needs and requirements of the patient.
- The competencies listed in sections I, II, and III will be learned as the student's knowledge and skill level increases.
This position will have the opportunity to work at both Providence Medical Center in KCK, and St John Hospital in Leavenworth, KS
Qualifications:Education and Work Experience
- Must be approved with State Respiratory Therapy board to work as a Student Respiratory Therapist
- Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
- At the minimum, the student must be enrolled in an accredited respiratory program and completed first semester of clinical rotations. Preferred, is a student who has completed more than one semester and/or other medical experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required
