What does this role look like?
Responsible for managing a team of Contracts professionals for the Space Security & Intelligence (SSI) mission segment within the National Security Space (NSS) Line of Business. Candidate will have leadership responsibility for all aspects of pre-acquisition activities and contract negotiation and management, including development of efficient acquisition and contracting strategies in partnership with internal and external customer counterparts. Candidate will serve as a valued business leader and partner with business development, program management, functional counterparts and mission segment leadership to drive creative and competitive contracting approaches. Responsible for driving creative contractual strategies and an innovative mind-set across the diverse business portfolio.
Must be a self-starter, able to work in a team environment, and provide leadership to the team. Candidate must develop and maintain good working relationships, and be adept at dealing with customers, program team members, and industry peers, including senior management. Must be able to work effectively and independently in a dynamic complex environment. Must be flexible and able to establish priorities for multiple tasks. Candidate should display excellent problem solving, creativity in finding better ways to achieve goals, and a desire to assist in growing the business and gaining efficiencies to help improve financial results as well as customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications
- Significant contracting or negotiation or management experiences
- Experience negotiating with both internal and external customers to support business objectives
- Significant experience with USG procurement regulations or FAR/DFARS or other transaction authority (OTAs) in all aspects of the contract life cycle
- Experience with different USG Contract Types FFP or FPIF or CPAF or CPFF or T&M or any other contract types
- Top Secret Clearance required prior to start
Desired skills
- Post secondary degree
- Ability to provide leadership, coaching, mentorship, and support to members of the team in a fast-paced environment
- Significant experience with USG procurement regulations in all aspects of the contract life cycle including proposals, administration, and close-out.
