Your role and responsibilities
Join us as a Caseworker and immerse yourself in a role that combines diverse responsibilities with opportunities for growth. Sharpen your research and drafting skills while serving as a crucial liaison between professionals and stakeholders. Your ability to convey complex information clearly and manage multiple cases with competing priorities will be key. As you assist in delivering high-quality legal services and provide expert advice, you'll continuously expand your legal knowledge and expertise. You will need
- an honours degree and relevant work experience in a legal setting
- enthusiasm for solving legal problems, and a practical, strategic approach to advice
- willingness and aptitude for learning
- research, analysis and communication skills
- ability to manage and process high volumes of documentation and information, to drive clear advice and effective case management
- to be able to organise your time and resources, and prioritise effectively
- an awareness of the political, reputational and financial factors bearing on the council’s decision-making
- to bring your own values, experience and insights to enhance the team and help develop the department as a whole.
