We are looking for an Area Sales Manager for our Freight Forwarding branch in Geneva. As an Area Sales Manager, you will  develop and grow DP World's presence among key industrial and chemical clients in French-speaking Switzerland (Romandie). 

You will build, manage and retain a structured portfolio of large B2B accounts with recurring volumes and long-term contracts, leveraging local market knowledge and personal network to generate commercial leads and increase market share in the region. As a strategic partner to our clients, you will deliver tailor-made logistics solutions across sea, road and multimodal transport.

How you will contribute

  • Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to expand DP World’s client base in Western Switzerland

  • Maintain and grow existing accounts through a relationship-driven approach

  • Identify new business opportunities in the region with a focus on chemical, industrial, and high-value sectors

  • Act as commercial lead for customer RFQs, tenders, and pricing negotiations

  • Work closely with operations, pricing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of client expectations

  • Provide regular reporting on sales activities, forecasts, and results to the Branch Manager

  • Represent DP World in networking events and client meetings, promoting our brand and service excellence · Uphold DP World’s standards for compliance, ethics, and customer satisfaction

 

What you will bring

  • Degree or diploma in Business, Logistics, International Trade or a related field (additional certifications in sales, operations, or supply chain management are a plus).

  • Technical or vocational background is considered an asset

  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in B2B sales or business development within the logistics, transport, or freight forwarding industry with a proven experience in managing and growing key accounts, especially in industrial or chemical sectors.

  • Demonstrated success in achieving commercial targets and building long-term client relationships

  • Previous experience in multimodal transport (sea, road, intermodal) is essential

  • Familiarity with ADR, ISO tanks or regulated cargo is advantageous

 

Your skills:

  • Commercial strategy & key account management

  • Client negotiation, pricing & contract follow-up

  • Knowledge of multimodal transport (sea, road, tank, ADR)

  • Regional network among decision-makers in Romandie

  • Hands-on operational coordination (quotes, bookings, follow-up)

  • Entrepreneurial, reliable, results-oriented

  • Languages: French (native), English (not mandatory for this position, but important for internal communication and future development opportunities).

  • ADR/SDR/DG Cargo knowledge
