We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automation Tester with 3-4 years of hands-on experience in automation testing completely. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Java or Python with Selenium, along with strong knowledge of Test Designing, Maven, Cucumber, and Rest Assured, for developing and executing automated tests to ensure the quality of our web-based applications. This role requires experience in all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC) & software testing life cycle (STLC), with a strong focus on Agile methodology, test case documentation, defect tracking, and quality assurance.
Responsibilities:
- Automated Test Development & Execution: Design and execute automated test scripts using Java/Python with Selenium, Maven, and Cucumber based on user stories and requirements.
- Implement Rest Assured for API automation testing and Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing.
- Provide test execution reports, log defects, and maintain test scripts as per product changes.
- Work directly with the DevOps to support test automation to scale up for larger modules or components of software apps; champion Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test Driven Development (TDD) and product quality.
- Prepare and maintain detailed test design documents to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Collaborate on technical matters with SDET, Developer, and DevOps when problem arise and be able to provide solutions to resolve technical issues
- Contribute to SDLC and STLC documentation and planning.
- Perform API testing using Postman and Rest Assured to validate back-end services and integrations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree - Information Technology or related field required; master's degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in Automation Testing (preferably in the E-commerce domain) with hands-on experience in Java/Python with Selenium.
- Automation Frameworks: Strong experience in creating and maintaining automation frameworks, including BDD (Cucumber), POM (Page Object Model), and Test Designing
- Strong programming skill in Java, Selenium
- API Testing: Proficiency in API testing using Postman and Rest Assured.
- Build & Dependency Management: Experience with Maven for managing automation projects.
- Testing Tools: Proficiency with test case creation, defect tracking, and familiarity with tools such as JIRA, ALM, and other quality assurance software.
- SDLC & STLC: Strong understanding of Agile methodology, SDLC, and STLC.
- SQL Knowledge: Basic knowledge of SQL for data verification and test setup.
- Web-Based & Client-Server Applications: Experience in testing web-based applications and client-server applications.
