About the Role

Working under the broad direction of the Chief Investigator, the Research Fellow will contribute to a research program focused on proteomic analysis and functional studies of human autoantibodies in autoimmune diseases. The role involves supporting project design and implementation, analysing research data, and preparing manuscripts for publication.

The Research Fellow will actively contribute to the dissemination of research findings through high-quality publications, conference presentations, and the development of competitive research funding applications. The role may also involve supervision of Honours students and research support staff, as required.


About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • A PhD in Biomedical Science, with a strong preference for molecular immunology.

  • A strong research track record, including high-impact publications, competitive grant success, and national/international presentations.

  • Demonstrated deep knowledge and direct experience in proteomics techniques, particularly mass spectrometric sequencing.

  • Proven ability to solve complex problems using innovation, diagnostic expertise, and sound judgement.

  • Extensive experience in advanced molecular and cell biology techniques.

  • High motivation and creativity, with a demonstrated passion for research and willingness to incorporate innovative ideas.
